Most escape room teams book ahead, and the gaps show up at the door: a group walks in on a Saturday while every room is running. Without a list, the desk takes a name, guesses a time and hopes the group comes back.
bavoli gives you a booking page where teams pick a start time and a group size, and a waitlist for walk-ins who want the next open room. Each room sits on a floor plan, so the desk sees which rooms are running.
It fits escape rooms that want simple bookings and a walk-in line. If you sell tickets per player and collect the full price when teams book, a ticketing tool will fit better, and the limits below explain why.

Online booking by start time
Teams pick a date, a start time and a group size. You set the smallest and largest group, how far ahead teams can book and how many groups can start in each time slot.
A walk-in waitlist by QR code
Put the QR card at the desk. Walk-in groups join from a phone with no app to download and watch their place in line.
A text when a room is ready
One tap sends it. On Free the first 25 parties each month get texts, Plus texts up to 500 and Pro up to 1,500.
Rooms on a floor plan
Add each room as a table. The desk sees which rooms are running and seats the next group with a tap.
Card holds and no-show fees on Plus
Hold a card on online bookings and charge a flat no-show fee only if the team doesn't come, so a team that never shows pays your fee for the Saturday slot it held. Needs Plus and a connected Stripe account.

Teams can pick an occasion when they book, and you can add your own, such as a team outing or a proposal.

A two-room escape room with about 20 online bookings a month has about 20 parties a month to text. That fits the Free plan, which texts the first 25 parties each month for $0.

A five-room escape room with about 150 bookings a month and about 10 walk-in groups on the list each weekend has about 190 parties a month to text. That fits Plus at $30 a month, which texts up to 500 parties a month.
Card holds and no-show fees come with Plus and Pro.
The no-show fee is one flat amount per online booking, whatever the size of the team, and it is charged only if the team doesn't show.
What bavoli doesn't do for an escape room yet
bavoli runs bookings and the walk-in line. These gaps matter most for escape rooms:
- It doesn't sell tickets per player, take deposits or collect the full price when teams book. The no-show fee on Plus is one flat amount per online booking.
- Teams can't pick a specific room or game when they book. They book a start time for their group, and the desk assigns the room.
- Start times run every 15, 30 or 60 minutes, and bavoli doesn't block a room for the length of a game. If a game and its reset take longer than an hour, allow fewer groups per time slot than you have rooms so every room is ready in time.
- It doesn't collect signed waivers.
- Some guest screens still use restaurant words. The booking page and the waitlist status page say "table" and "host stand" in places.
Frequently asked questions
How do I stop two teams from getting the same room at the same time?
Set how many groups can start in each time slot to the number of rooms you have, up to 20. With hourly start times and four rooms, the 6:00 slot shows as full once four teams have booked it. The same number applies on every day you're open.
What if a game and its reset take longer than an hour?
Start times run every 15, 30 or 60 minutes, so a room booked at 6:00 won't be ready at 7:00. Allow fewer groups per slot than you have rooms. With four rooms and 90 minutes for each game and reset, allowing two groups each hour keeps a room ready for every booking.
Can teams pay the full price when they book?
Not yet, and bavoli doesn't collect deposits either. On Plus ($30 a month) or Pro, once you connect a Stripe account, teams add a card when they book online and you charge a flat no-show fee only if they don't show. Teams pay at the desk.
Can walk-ins join the waitlist from their phone?
Yes. They scan the QR card or open the link, enter a name, group size and mobile number, and watch their place in line on the page that opens. The desk texts them when a room is ready.
How are texts counted?
